Qonta Home writes down money you have already moved, so you can see where the month went. This page says exactly what it keeps in order to do that, who else ever sees it, and how to make it all go away.

The short version. We keep your phone number, the messages you send our WhatsApp number, and the records made from them. We do not sell anything, we do not advertise, and nobody else can see your money. Ask us to delete it and we delete it.

Who we are

Qonta Home is a product of Opus Digital, 1 KN 78 St, Kigali, Rwanda. For anything on this page, write to hello@qonta.rw or message +250 799 641 428.

What we hold

Your phone number It is how you are identified. There is no password and no account name — WhatsApp has proved the number by the time your message reaches us.
Your WhatsApp profile name Only so replies can greet you and so an account with several people can show who wrote what.
The messages you send us Stored as you wrote them, with the WhatsApp message id and the time, so a message delivered twice is not recorded twice.
The records made from them Amounts, categories, wallets, budgets, bills, goals, and who owes what. This is the product.
Sign-in sessions A signed cookie when you open the web view, and the one-time link that issued it. The link expires in fifteen minutes and works once.

We do not ask for and do not hold your ID, your bank credentials, your MoMo PIN or a payment card. Nothing in this product can move your money — see Terms.

Why we hold it

To do the one thing you asked for: record what you tell us and answer questions about it. We also read failure logs to fix what breaks — those carry the length of a message and the account it belonged to, never the text of it.

We do not profile you, we do not sell or rent anything to anybody, and we do not use your records to advertise to you or to anyone else.

Who else sees it

Three companies are involved in making the product work, and no others:

Beyond those, nobody. We share nothing with advertisers, data brokers, lenders, employers or credit bureaus. If a court in Rwanda lawfully orders us to hand something over we will comply, and we will tell you unless we are forbidden to.

Who else sees it

Everybody sharing one account records into the same month and can see it. A member can be marked restricted — a teenager with their own phone, a relative who helps with rent — and then sees the total without every line of it. That rule is applied in the chat and on the screen identically, so neither is a way around the other. Nobody else can see anything of yours.

How long we keep it

Your records stay while you use the product, because a ledger that deletes itself is not a ledger. Sign-in sessions last thirty days and then need a new link. One-time links die after fifteen minutes or one use, whichever comes first. When you ask us to delete your records we delete them — see Delete your data.

Where it is

The database is on a server we control. Message text passes through Meta's and Anthropic's systems, which are outside Rwanda, for as long as it takes to deliver and read a message.

What you can ask for

Message the number or email us and we will do it within thirty days, usually the same week. We will check the request came from the phone number that owns the records before we act on it.

Children

Homes have children in them. A member under 18 can be added by an adult on the account, and is expected to be given the phone by that adult. We do not knowingly open an account for a child on their own.

Security

There is no password anywhere in this product, so there is nothing to guess, reuse or leak. Every delivery from WhatsApp is signature-checked before it is read. The web view opens only from a one-time link sent into your own chat.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we say so in the chat. We will not quietly widen what we do with your records.
